The divine right of kings asserts that a sovereign, by virtue of their birth, is granted the God-given power to rule. But there are a number of other, more important things that we are owed in this life. The most sublime among them all? The unhindered ability to love and be loved. The Divine Right cradles that heavenly privilege, in all of its anguish, sorrow, exuberance, and beauty.

The Troubadour Suite (tracks 1-6) is named in honor of the French medieval poets who celebrated devotion between exhales; every shed tear and fluttering heartbeat a bullet.
The Harlequin Suite (tracks 7-10), by and large, was the very inception of this record, and created to serve its track list predecessor.

I’ve never fallen, I’ve only ever landed in love; steps even, gaze unflinching. It may not be the lost logical part of life, but that just makes it all the more celestial.
I pray that The Divine Right brings heat to your bones, and sets you alight.
