Saint Orpheus (a.k.a. Jesse W. McDaniel) is a Baltimore-based writer, musician, and artist. Degreed and self-taught, his passion for creation via nonfiction storytelling, songwriting, and photography is boundless. His inspirations include the basest of human rituals, Greek mythology, biblical characters, and famous historical women, among many others; each influence imbuing his work with a soft empathy and appreciation of the fantastical. From personal tales to captured images, he is spurred marrow-deep to make magic whenever he can’t feel it. His desire is to reimagine the simple, hold it like Midas, and have it come forth as gold.
